I get so frustrated when I use up all the space on one of my money envelopes, but have tons of space on another. My solution? Flat ledgers that can be inserted into the envelope so that I can continue using it and recording my spending.

They will also fit in most regular wallets and bags, so money/cash envelope is not necessary.

These come in a variety of colors (see last picture), are double-sided, and are sold in groups of 10.
